Dental care

Our dental care helps you and your family (if you choose to cover them) manage the costs of eligible routine and restorative treatment received in the UK and abroad, within the limitations of the Dental Care Plan, provided by Bupa. Cover for worldwide dental injuries and emergencies are also included.

You can use any dentist for treatment, but you can benefit from up to a 20% discount on general dentistry when using a Bupa Dental Insurance Network dentist, and claim up to a 15% discount on a selected specialist or advance treatments at certain Bupa dental practices in London.

The core benefit cover is provided at ‘Gold’ coverage for you only. You also have the option to upgrade to ‘Platinum’ and select cover for your dependents at the following levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum.

How to make a claim

You will be e-mailed a membership pack confirming your cover details. You can choose Gold or Platinum level of cover for yourself, and then any level of cover for your dependants if you wish to include them.

  • If you receive treatment via a participating Bupa-owned dental practice, they will settle your claim directly. There will be no need to pay and claim back the cost. You will only need to pay for any eligible treatment costs in excess of the benefit limits. You can find a dentist on the Bupa Dental Insurance Network.
  • If you receive treatment at either a non-participating Bupa-owned dental practice or a dental practice outside of the Bupa Dental Insurance Network, you will need to settle your dentists' invoice first. You can then submit a claim to Bupa by either online or by post.

You will have 90 days from the completion of your treatment to make a claim.
