Private Medical Cover

The NHS is often able to provide investigations into fertility. We advise before pursuing support from BNP Paribas's Private Medical Cover to speak to your GP about the options available on the NHS and how having private treatment may affect you.

If you decide to have treatment privately, the Private Medical Cover can pay for investigations (including investigations into recurrent miscarriage) with a specialist. A GP referral is required to confirm you have discussed your NHS treatment options first. The Private Medical Cover includes:

  • Treatment to prevent future miscarrage
  • Routine cycles of proven fertility treatment
  • Cryopreservation, storage or thawing of eggs, testicular tissue or embryos (when part of a current complete fertility cycle of proven fertility treatment)
  • Storage costs up to one year
  • Transportation of tissue (when part of a current cycle of fertility treatment)
  • Drugs when prescribed by a specialist
